Auck me Haggis!

Well here it is - my very first taste of haggis, and i actually liked it. Tried and tested at a work conference in bonnie Scotland, just outside Edinburgh. Not sure the huge three course meal helped with my Celidah-ing abilities afterwards but hey-ho!!!

Will I ever learn???

Now, back in January of this year I made an entry on my blog having just moved over the Christmas period. I wrote, and I quote:

"I moved just before Christmas (please if I ever suggest doing that again you have permission to make me stand in a cold shower until i regain some sense)"

So here I am, not even twelve months later and what am I doing??? Moving at Christmas again! In December I will be leaving the bright lights of the city behind and will be moving to sleepy Burgess Hill to live with Simon. Aaaaah domestic bliss here we come!

Monday Sucks

Now monday mornings are always bad enough, but mine was made particularly bad today. On my drive to work I saw a dead black and white pussy cat in the middle of the dual carriage way. I was so disturbed I felt I needed sympathy from my man - his response to my sad text message was:

"Oh poor pussy cat. He's in a happy place now"

which I guess is true.

RIP random cat

Sniff :-(

Go Bears!

I went to see my very first basketball match this evening. It was Brighton Bears v Birmingham Bullets! After much cheering, beer, chips and entertainment from the Honeybears (seemingly very young cheerleaders!) the Bears were victorious at 67-60! Hoorah for the Bears!

Remember, Remember (Lewes 2005)

Once again the town of Lewes was transformed into a mass of burning torches and exploding lights. When the streets are filled with smoke, the deafening bangs of fire crackers and the random chanting of "Burn Him" there can be no doubt that it's the 5th of November!
