Gin and Beer

Gin and Beer
The Tower of London
Information reads: A pair of wooden half-figures known as
Gin (left) and Beer (right). Dating from the early 17th century, they
may have come from the old royal palace at Greenwich where, according
to tradition, they were fixed over the buttery where food and drink were stored.
