Private Serenade

El is re-learning to play the guitar. She is exceptionally good, but exceptionally modest!

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Thats what they said in Mary Poppins! I was watching someone fly their kite in the park today and I am still not sure how much fun flying a kite would be. I can understand the excitement if you are part of the new kite craze of using it to pull you along on a skate board, but as for normal kite flying, well, what's it all about????

I remember on holiday on the East Coast where mum was in charge of our kite. You can imagine my dismay when somehow she managed to cut the string on some rocks and my kite flew down the very tall cliff to the beach below. Muggins here was sent to fetch it but by the time i got down to the beach some kids had pinched it and were playing with MY KITE in the sea. Grrrrrrr!

Maybe i need to buy get the smart price kite that Darren gave me for my birthday out of its expensive packaging, venture over to Preston Park and see if it is fun!

Although have just been looking at http://scotthaefner.com/kap/gallery/?g=favorites and it seems there is more to kite flying that I thought. Amazing photos!

Computer Says No

Thankfully this will be a phrase of the past with my new puter!

No more will i have to make a cup of tea whilst waiting for programmes to open; no more will typing in a word document take half an hour to appear on the screen and no more will all my digital photos display ten times darker than they really are :)

I am truly entering the 21st Century and leaving behind my former snail pace - sometimes in life the hare is better than the tortoise- im so excited!

Praise the Lord for sending wonderful boyfriends who will fix your computer!

A Desk With A View

Although Horsham is a little way to travel every day at least i have a view from my desk ...

Certainly beats the prison I usually work in - I can even see the swans on the very distant pond! Wonder if i will be here long enough to see a season change?
